Hello, I'm new to encoding and dvd authoring on Macs, I have read so much information but yet I cannot find anything that applies directly towards me so hopefully someone can help. I have a new Powerbook G4 and I have an Mpg i created recently on my desktop pc. I would love to use iDVD to author my dvd because I like the simplicity. My question is how do i convert my Mpg to .mov to work in iDVD? Are there any other good utilities to convert to .mov? I tried using the utility ffmpegX and it seemed to encode okay until i wanted to use the file in iDVD, it said it wasn't supported but it should be if its a .mov. Both the Mpg and .mov file i created worked fine in Toast but I couldn't figure out how to create backrounds and add music like in iDVD, i like that interface a lot better. Can someone help me out with some advice on utilities for my .mov conversions? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
