i made my first dvd usin that and i love the program, i'm able to make an intro to the dvd then go str8 to the menu where i can select my own background picture and add in music which is great, but what i hate about this is that when i already add in dvd compliant mpg files, they are re encoded to an even higher quality file where then i can only add 2 eps cause the file was made to like over 1 gig. is there a way around this? or another program like this except it doesn't reencode? kinda like vcdeasy where it wouldn't reencode the mpgs just burn to .dat files? please reply

Ulead DVD Factory 2 ( I haven't used v3). By default it will re encode like your issue, but if you do into the video template, you can adjust the settings that it uses for the encoding process. You just change these to match your input video and no encoding will take place. Your files will still need to meet DVD spec. I would imagine there is a similar setting/adjustment hidden somewhere in your software.
