  1. I am having trouble encoding a film that is in Real Video/audio

While running a 5 min test (of a 60min film) Tmpgenc will either encode but without sound OR wont even start the encoding, instead it gives me a 'cant open or is unsupported' message

Is there a way around this?

I use tmpgenc to encode rm files without sound and use goldwave to extract the wav file. You can input the wav into tmpgenc as the audio while encoding if you wanted.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  4. or if you install the app "real alternative" it just puts the codecs of real on your machine and then tmpg can quite easily open up the file directly

Thats the best way to have real player on a system but it still wont encode rm files with sound, you have to encode as i described above.
