  1. Does anybody knows how to put a moving background (like a video clip) and still images at the same time for a Menu on a dvd? I wanted to make a menu for my dvd that has still images and a moving video clip together.

Never done it myself, but it's rather simple to do with AviSynth

  5. You can use overlay option of Ulead video studio 8 or Ulead media studio 7 or (I think) vegas. They can handle transparency also (if you use transparent tif images). You prepare the menu clip with one of the above programs and import it to an authoring program.

You can do that with tmpgenc dvd author also, just have the movie clip as the background and replace the thumbnail(s) with a still image.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

What are you actually trying to do ? Do you want . .

A video background with stills in front ?
A video background with moving stills ?
A still background with videos in front ?
A video clip that ends with a slideshow ?

Be a little more specific if you are after a particular technique.

What software do you have ?
How experienced are you at video work ? (not very, I'm guessing)

  9. One more thing, i wasnt talking about changing the thumbnails for my menu and change it to still images. i was talking about the background it self with a video clip next to it.
