How do I know what my "source aspect ratio" is??

What type of source are you using?
If it is a DVD, then you can usually tell by looking at the package -- "standard" is 4:3 and "widescreen" is 16:9. If you are dealing with VCD, XVCD, and SVCD, then it is most likely a source aspect ration of 4:3. AVI and others often are 1:1.
