  1. I tried to use DVD2SVCD to convert DVD to VCD. During conversion, it encountered read errors, and said that result may be unpredictable. I tried to do it again with DVD shrink, it gave read error too. But the DVD plays perfect on my DVD player. Does it mean that DVD players simply ignore the errors ?
    What kind of unpredictable result can I get , if I just ignore the errors? or what would you do if you have the same problem ?

    Yes.

    A/V sync problems, or a file without sound, or only part of the clip gets converted or.....

    ..or what would you do if you have the same problem ?
    Backup the whole thing to a DVD-r, errors and all. Use DVD Decrypter to rip and tell it to ignore errors in the config menu.
