PAL to NTSC issue RC8

I'am noticing some freezing with MPG's that are converted to NTSC from PAL , this was a not a issue with RC7 and below ?

i first thought they were bad burns so i tried 2 different burners with same results also tried 3 differnt media types and still same result .

so i tried burning the the orginal mpgs in pal format and there is no freezing ?

weird thing is that if i play the VOB file from HD using Power DVD it does not freeze but once its burned to DVD it freezes in MY PC and in at least 6 different DVD players ranging from Phillips to Apex to samsung and with the same with results and unfortantely i no longer have RC7 to test and see if it is RC8 and the way its converting the MPG's to NTSC ?

by the way used nero burner , nero 6 , and tmpgenc author to burn disk and all with same results .

also freezes are short pauses for sec then it starts up again and every dvd i have burned regardless of method has the same problem at the same points in the mpg

So, let me see if i have got this right: if you play the VIDEO_TS folder from your HD in PowerDVD it is ok. Then if you burn the VIDEO_TS folder to DVDR and then play it back (with PowerDVD) you get freezing?

i'm having the same problems with PAL to NTSC conversion. I had the same problems with release 7. DVD plays fine on pc but i get freezing and audio is skipping when playing on 2 different home DVD players. I believe I didn't have this problem with release 1 but i don't have that version of the installation anymore.

plays fine from harddrive but once burned it freezes and the same points on every burned DVD , ive burned at least 20 times , if i leave it in pal format it works fine .

a new problem is when i make a dvd using 1 VTS it does not make chapters ?
EDIT: this issue was fixed by reinstalling Net framework

2 different PC's and different burners on each PC and 1 PC has RC7 the other has RC8 but both have the same problem ?

the only thing that is exactly the same is windows xp pro which is the same copy installed for both PC's
i made a new pc and formated both PC's and started from scratch and it seems that since the new build ive encountered the problem i didnt have this problem before the new build ?

i'am thinking i will format 1 of the pc's and see if that fixes anything ?

and try a different copy of windows xp

and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I am developing a new method for pal to ntsc within the program. Hopefully it should resolve your issue. Drop me an email and you can test it tomorrow (or a soon as it is ready).

Yes well i would like you all to test but i have had to rebuild my PC today so it will not be a soon as i would have hoped..... (On with the progress bars )

I am having the same problem but for me, it plays fine BUT the picture is VERY distorted. Like the pixels are messed up or soemthing.

Also when i convert from PAL to NTSC, AFter i extract the .bin and when i'm bout to drag the mpeg to the VTS layout. I noticed the file size has sunk down to only 15 megs.
