    Hi @ll,

I have following problem. I have this movie, which is a pretty good quality as a divix-Avi. Now I tried to rip the *avi in 2 parts using VirtualDub - did only work for the first part. The second part would not work on the audio.

So I decided to demux this movie and had a fine sound file. Then I used TMPGEnc to put the pieces together again and had some synch-Problem, which I solved by cutting out 2sec. of the original *avi. Now having a fine copy (w/ perfect synch) in *mpg. Still I need to get it on 2 CD - so I tried to cut it apart using TMPG again (and meanwhile) also a bunch of different cutting tools). Trying to do this I got again a perfectly working first part (now in *mpg) and a second one seeming to have the right ingredients (means video& audio). But when I try to open that file with any program - the programm doesn`t open it and even crashes.

Any ideas? - I am close to throw this f***cking movie out of the window!!

    Greetinx from Berlin...

  2. Encode the whole movie to mpg with tmp. Then use Myflix and cut the mpg into two parts.

As a last resort, you could use vdub to cut the avi into 2 parts, or since you got the first part to work, cut out the second part with vdub and encode with tmpenc, when I have a big divx I usually cut it with vdub, strip the audio, then encode the parts seperatly, then I avoid the sync probs with tmpenc, but as I have stated here before, you must have a perfect divx to start with, no video dropouts, if you do you will always have sound problems.
