I am posting this for others in the future who are having problems playing back-ups in thier Panasonic badged factory installed DVD players in any of the GM trucks (Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Avalanche, Sierra, Yukon).
I have found so far that the following two burners will create working DVD's for this unit -
HP DVD Diskwriter 400C
Toshiba SD-R5372
These were created using Nero 6.6.0.8 from both DVD Shrink as well as another commercial DVD creation product.
It took many disks and the help of eveyone I know to find these burners that work. I will try to post a list of the units that did not work but I would like to get those model numbers first.
I had seen others having the same problems across the net, and figured I would post my findings here. Hopefully this info will help someone else.

I have never had a problem burning back-up's for my Venture DVD player.I have a few different burners.maybe it was the media you were using?

In the burners that work, I have now used three different brands and they all have worked, but not in the other burners. When I first had my failures (which only fail in the truck) I had the same thoughts and bought better and better brands. Same thing.
Maybe you are lucky to have burners that works. After my initial failures, I did a few web searches and found there were many others who had no luck what so ever in thier GM trucks, thus my post.
