  1. Hi all -

I am trying to create a 'Best Of' disk with scenes from my favorite movies.

    Here is my current process:

Using DVD Shrink re-author mode, rip the scenes to seperate folders.

Using DVD Shrink again in re-author mode, open all the seperate hard-drive movies and compile my best-of DVD and burn to disk.

My problem is this - I need to import the titles into DVD shrink seperately, and when the disk burns, each imported title burns seperately. When this plays back on my set-top DVD player, there is about a 1 second pause for each title switch.

What I would like is the final compilation DVD to have only one title, ideally with a chapter break at the beginning of each scene.

Can anyone recommend a better method for doing this, or a guide that tells how this is done?

    Thanks.

  2. Try using TMPGenc Author 1.6 to reauthor your clips to one DVDr.

If you really want one title you will have to demux the audio and video, join it together, then re-encode and re-author with your chapter stops. Thissame problem came yesterday with another poster who had cut the commercials from a TV episode and left the bits a seperate titles in the hope it would create chapter stops. Unless you hide it with a fade in / fade out, you will get the pauses.

  4. Ok. Thanks.

I was hoping there was a way to do this without demuxing/re-encoding/etc.

There is - live with the gap. The length of the gap will vary from player to player, so you might find one that plays smoothly.
