Was working fine before but rebuilt my computer installed dvd shrink, then nero and didn't have the option to burn with nero. I reinstalled dvd shrink and still no luck. After this I installed dvd decrypter and I can burn with that but it has to go through the extra step of creating the iso; it's rather just be able to burn directly to save time. My nero version has changed from 6.6 to 6.608 although I can't see that really making a difference.

  2. did you check the options in DVD Shrink to make sure you have the Nero burn option enabled?

I looked for that last night and didn't see the option. I'll look again when I get home though. I didn't have to do anything for it to see dvd decrypter.

Creating and ISO is not an extra process. It's just making the iso instead of DVD folders - as in AUDIO and VIDEO_TS
Either method creates either the ISO or the Folders. SO you see it's not really an extra step. I can't comment as to why you have lost the ability to burn with Nero. You could accept that as blessing in disguise as Decrypter does a much better job than Nero anyway.

Ah, I never watched it all the way through but I was assumed it created the folders then made the iso. Why is it better? Is there a way to make it delete the iso when it's done burning? (apart from writing a batch file)

  6. jtoolman is correct. Also, I'm almost certain there's an option to automatically delete the source, the ISO, after burning. Check for yourself - I'd check it but I'm encoding with another program and it's making Shrink freeze on startup....

Decrypter will delete the ISO after burning if you check the apropriate box. Best to keep it for a while till you are sure that the back up plays perfect!

Great, thanks guys. I won't worry about nero then since dvd decrypter seems to be working well.
