    I have an avi file saved in my documents, and the file size is only 700 mb, but when I go to burn it with nero, nero recognizes it as over 2 gb, can anyone tell me what is going on.

    Burn the AVI as a data disc. If you are burning the AVI as a movie, then Nero will encode the AVI file to a .MPG file.
