    Hello,
I am pretty comfortable already with Adobe Photoshop so using it to create custom menu's was something I found greatly desireable. Up until now I have been using tmpgenc dvd author and for ease of use it is great, but it's menu's just don't have the flexibility I was needing for my current wedding project.

I tried adobe encore and was very pleased that it automatically distinguished the layers in the psd file I had created. It took a bit more learning to put something together, but after having used premiere it wasn't too different.
ANYWAYS! There is still 1 thing I don't understand:

When I preview the dvd all the buttons are highlighting and linked to the right place. they all have an en action of either going to the next section or returning to the menu(depending on which menu selection they are watching). BUT! The stop button just stops the dvd and I can't figure out how to tell it to go back to the main menu when the stop button is pushed. It's not the End Action or override.....i'm stumped!

    any ideas?

On all my commercial disks, the stop button stops the disk. That is what it is meant to do. The only buttons that stop playback AND return to the menu are the MENU button and the TOP MENU button. I think what you are trying to do is outside the spec.

Can you name a disk that does do anything other then stop when stop is pressed ?

Agree with the above. Stop button means just that, STOP. There is no rerlationship to the menu you have created. It is just a remote control command.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
