    Since I'm on the laptop I haven't got any contacts set up, so if anyone wants to chat with me they're gonna have to contact me I'm not gonna go through the "pending authorisation" stage with everyone again ...

    I took a look at skype's forums and there were quite a few topics that claimed to contain the solution for getting skype to run well with win98. Might be worth a look SM
    If in doubt, Google it.

    No way. Win 98 is more P1 area. IF your really lucky its fast one featureing MMX!

    I definitely ran 95 on my 486, trying to think what machines i had in 98...

    i think it was a P75 desktop and a P133 laptop.

    Hah! The first computer I had with a cdrom drive after my 386 was a Pentium 1 200 mhz MMX running WINDOWS 95! :P :P :P

    It sucked when I was using my old HP Athlon 800mhz with Win 98. Fortunately I was able to get Win2000. What a difference!

    I love XP on my Celeron 2.66. No probs.
