  1. Hiya Guys,

I have always had a problem with my ATI card in that there are four recording presets, which I obviously override with my own settings however once I restart my PC I have to re-select my settings every time
which is a real pain in the back side as I now use Digiguide and would like to record programs without going into ATI MMC and redefining my settings every time.

Is there a fix for this?

    thanks.

Which version MMC are you using? You can replace those 4 presets with anything you program as a preset. If you are using something external you may have to write some macros or script code if the program won't set the AIW MMC modes.

  4. MMC version 9.0

If you select setup then PVR there is an option to select the default options or create your own presets.

I create my own presets however when I reboot and go back into setup/PVR my default settings are no longer selected - I have to re-select them.

The problem with this is that digiguide software records utilising one of the 4 default settings which is a real problem.

    It looks like a bug.

I'd be interested in a cure for this problem. I have an AIW Radeon 7500 and use MMC 8.9 and it does exactly the same. I have created my own presets (using the settings from Lordsmurfs site) and select one of those when I want to capture from analogue. The next time I open the software, I find that it has defaulted to the original (crap) ATI presets and I have to select my own again. They are still there in the list but it's a pain to have to go in and find them rather than them just being there in the first place. Finding them isn't as easy as it could be, MMC won't let me delete the ATI ones so they are in amongst a load that I never use.

I would prefer that once I have created the presets, they become the default settings.

I'm using MMC v9.02 and the custom presets are staying put in the PVR menu and under right click when the program is relaunched.

9.02 seems to be working OK with my AIW-8500DV.

When I use Beyond TV 3, none of the MMC presets are available.

  7. Nope....

I installed MMC 9.06 did the usual and my presets are gone I have to re-select again so its not the verison of MMC thats relevant.

My other settings in other programs are being kept okay so its not a profiling problem in windows.

I even tried exporting the ATI key and re-importing on boot-up the trouble is that although the presets have the right names they still use the ATi default settings.

    Any other ideas guys???
