  1. Two questions:

I download a lot of movies from the web. Sometimes the file tells me if the DVD rip is PAL or NTSC, but not all of the time. How do I know if a downloaded movie is NTSC or PAL?

I live in Kentucky, so if a downloaded file is PAL, it will not play in my Sony DVD player. How do I convert the DVD to NTSC?

Use AVIcodec and check to see if it's 25fps, then it's PAL. Other programs will do that also. As far as converting from PAL to NTSC, check the guides to the left. <<<<<

  3. Lots of times, the file is a .img file (a file I need to load with Virtual Daemon). So, AVIcodec will not open it. How do I check a file like that without first having to burn it to a DVD? Can PowerDVD check it while it is virtually loaded and playing?

  5. Yeah, I have had a hard time finding a post for my particular problem. Most seem to deal with .avi files. . .

  6. Drag and drop the IMG in MediaPlayerClassic and click view-statistics. It will show you the speed in fps.
