Okay this is what I did. I made a back-up copy of Sade Music Video that I bought at Bestbuy. I put the disk in my dvd drive and opened up Toast to copy. It said the dvd wasn't copy protected so I went ahead and and just hit the copy button and made a good back-up copy. Everything worked out just fine. Then I wanted to make another copy of it but this time I used the back-up copy I just made and used Toast to copy, but now I get an error message saying that the dvd is copy protected and can't copy. So then I run MTR and I get a message saying something about having bad sectors. How is this possible when the original wasn't copy protected to begin with. Or was it that during making a copy it added something to the copy that made it copy protected? Anyone can tell me why I'm getting this error message.

Sector problems hint towards bad media!
Just re-do the copy from the source and you will be fine
