Ok, Deep Breath.
My problem is as below...
Capture DV and edit using Vegas and render into MPEG2. All is fine and the quality is as good as i can get it.
I make up several 30-40 second clips to use as a repeating background in Architect and add my menus. Add the full movies and render to DVD.
The intros have horrendous interlacing (lines on images), but the main movies have not. Looking into this I understand that the main movies are not re-encoded but the intros are due to the menus etc (I imagine!)
I have checked all options and apart from the Res setting - PAL 720-576 the default on all movies i make, there is nothing to change.
Why am i getting bad interlacing?????
Please help
