I created a DVD image using Shrink and then mounted it to a virtual drive using Alcohol 120%.
When I browsed the drive with DVDdecrypter it said "Disc is not DVD" or words to that effect.

    Is this normal ?

Alco120 was just reinstalled after loading XP SP2 last week.

    Thanks

Can I ask why you're trying to load it into DVDDecrypter after you've ripped/shrunk it ? What are you trying to do ?

I know for sure that DVDDecrypter can only read optical drives unless you're in ISO Write mode, so I would assume that it detects (quite rightfully) that the mounted image is not a true DVD drive.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I wanted to demux some vob streams and I already had the image mounted so I thought I'd just use that.

    Thanks

I've used Daemon Tools to mount a DVD ISO IMAGE FILE then open it up in DVD Decrypter.
