    is there a way that i can take a movie that is on vhs and put it on dvd.....any info would help

    You're kidding, right ? Have you done any reading or used search here first ? Scratch that, of course you haven't. If your opening gambit is 'oi, you, spoon feed me' then the technical ins-and-outs will be way beyond your patience. Go and buy a DVD Recorder, plug your VHS into the back. Press record on the DVD Recorder, press play on the VHS, and press Stop on both when it's finished. Watch DVD and marvel at the wonders of modern technology.
