Im trying to rip the Star Trek movies, but with every one where they have Klingons talking, I dont get the subtitles showing what they are saying when speaking Klingon

I'm using smart ripper, but it wont do the sub titles at all, this is a huge pain as I want the movies 100% not with big gaps where you dont even know whats being said

Anyone know how to fix this ??

  2. hrm..first off ... star trek?...heh..mental image forming (reminds me of the comic store clerk from the simpsons)

anywayz, here's general overview of wut i do..

    1) rip .ifo along with .vobs
    2) make your .d2v project file with dvd2avi as usual
    3) convert your .d2v file into .avi file with vfapi-enc
    4) open up virtual dub and load the .avi
    5) goto video tab and click on the vob sub filter
    6) vob sub will ask u to open up the .ifo file of the rip

    etc...

Bit of a pain, but if it it works I'll do it

  4. You can frameserve from VDub to TMPGenc (or CCE or whatever you use). Take a look at:

    http://www.flexion.org/video/DVDConv/DVD2AVI/index.html

for more info (actually more info then you need). You'll need to select the correct subtitle track. There's most likely two english tracks (one for subs all the time, and one for just when the Klingons talk. Traffic was like this, for some odd reason the correct subtitle track was the french one???).

  5. Vejita-sama, yea weird...i thought they would hardcode the english subs in traffic where spanish was spoken..i guess they treated it as separate subs (althought the english subs did appear automatically during spoken english in the actual DVD)
