I am trying to burn a fujifil DVD-RW with pioneer 109, firmware 1.17, on panther using toast titanium 6.0. I used the DVD-ROM UDF option..
the problem is it never finishes writing "lead out" and the light on the burner stays on. I had to force shutdown the computer to get it to stop. What the heck is wrong.

Some things to look into.
-Make sure Toast is updated to 6.0.9
-Writing lead-out is a surprisingly long process. So be advised
-Take a look here for info on how to update your drive's firmware. The 109 is up to 1.40. I don't think Flashit or the newer DVRflashX are compatible with the 109 yet, but there is some information on how to flash them using VirtualPC.

I might have spoke too soon. I left it on, and your right its a surprisingly long process. It took only about a minute for dvd-r. It took 6 minutes with a rw. So im relieved that it worked. Thanks for the update info. I used to have VPC but i have no darn space on my HD to install it anymore getting an HD soon
