  1. I have some avi's i am converting to 352 x 288 mpeg2 format, destined for dvd. I have cce as in my subject line, but i can't see where i can set it so that output is progressive. Opening up the encoded files in g-spot shows they are t/l interlaced. It doesn't look right viewing on tv, and i know that they are originally progressive source, and that 352 x 288 resolution should be progressive.

Anyone have any idea how to output progressive mpeg2 1/4 size using cc3 sp?

  2. bumped.

i have been doing these for ages in tmpgenc, the setting there is straightforward. But, cce is definitely faster, but i watch it during the encoding process and it is doing it in fields.

If i force it to vcd setting, then it does set it out as progressive, but i wish i could force mpeg2 1/4D to output as progressive as well.

Are the originals interlaced ? If so, you may need to use virtualdub or avusynth to deinterlace them first, then framesrve to CCE for encoding. I amstill using 2.67 (no compelling reason to move off it yet) and it doesn't have a setting for progressive (other than for the source). It just encodes what it's fed.

  4. the avi's are progressive.

but even if you were to encode vcd sources, which should be progressive, it still seems to force it as interlaced. even if you set it as a progressive source.
