  1. I'm having a problem creating transitions between menus in dvd-lab. I've searched for help but so far haven't found an answer to this particular problem (thanks for all the useful guides on here that have got me this far though)

I was trying to create a transition between menu 1 and menu 2 (and back again) but when I put the finished DVD in a machine it doesn't stop on the first menu and wait for the menu 2 button to be pressed, it automatically goes to menu 2 From menu 2 it goes straight to menu 1 so it's constantly linking between the 2 pages. Here's a screenshot of my set up:-

I haven't set the timing to very long but didn't think this would affect it until the button was pressed anyway?

Would be most grateful for any help Thanks in advance.

Also, is there a way I can test the setup before actually burning it please?

You can try the limited test in DVD Lab Pro, but it isn't the best way to test more than button order. The best way to test is to burn to an RW. If that isn't possible, then a software player such as PowerDVD can be used, but use the keyboard, not the mouse.

If the menus are skipping straight through, rather than pausing, check the PBC tab for the menu. Make sure Force Activate Button is set to 0, and the duration set to the amount of dead time you want for your menu.

Thanks for your help - the Force Activate Button is set to 0, the duration is also set to 0 so maybe that's where I'm going wrong! Will test it out.

    Thanks again.

  4. I've now found out what I'd done wrong - somehow the transition had been added as a motion menu in the properties box

All sorted now thanks - can view and test my menus in Power DVD (can't play video on that for some reason though as it just judders through it with no sound - it won't play any DVD's though, I have to use Power Cinema so I guess something is going wrong somewhere! )

  5. The transition MUST be added as a motion in the properties box.
What you need to do (for your menus) is turn off Autoaction on the LINK tab, set duration to inf, and make sure Force Activate has NO number on the PBC tab.
