Just occured to me. ffmpeg supports dts decoding, so you could try that.
The 03c version doesnt seem to support DTS because it cant see the .dts file and when i put the video in it and try to convert the audio to ac3 it says finished and im left with a 0kb file.

UGH this is soo frustrating Iv downloaded AZID and i have AZDTS but its not working with besweet. im still getting this error

    Code:
     FAILED(hr=0x80040154) in CreateFilter(CLSID_DTSSource, &pReader)
I just don't know what to do...

"failed to create filter i just dont get it"
im going to install the new AutoGK and give it a try

So did you check that dtssource was registered?

Check that dts is enabled (ffmpeg -formats for a list of available formats), although it seems to me that ffmpeg's dts support isn't the best. Works well with mencoder/mplayer though, so you could decode to wav with mplayer. You could re-encode directly with mencoder, but it doesn't do audio only. You could re-encode the video and audio at the same time though.

I managed to convert it using the new AutoGk 2.07b.

It now supports dts audio and is converted the audio to .mp3, I will test it in my DVP642 and post back with my final result. GSpot says its mp3 audio and divx video. So it should work. I'm glad it worked as a converter.

:EDIT: after burning it the audio is out of sync. What should i do to resync the audio?

  7. You can adjust the delay using NanDub or VDubMod.

  9. Hi-

OK, here's how I do it. This assumes you have a constant asynch (the same all the way through, as opposed to it getting worse as the movie goes along). First you have to find out the delay. I do this with Media Player Classic. Open the AVI in that, right-click the video, and then go Options->Audio Switcher->Audio Time Shift. Check the box, and insert a test delay (negative to make the audio play earlier, and positive to make it play later). And remember that 1000 ms=1 second. "OK" it and test. Adjust it until you get it right.

When you get the delay the way you want, then open the AVI in Nandub. Set both Video and Audio for Direct Stream Copy. Then go Audio->Interleaving->Audio Skew Correction->Delay Audio Track By, and put in the delay you got in Media Player Classic. If it has an MP3 audio track, leave the other settings alone. If it's AC3, then maybe set both Preload and Interleaving for 96 ms. Then go File->Save As AVI and give it a new name. Wait a minute or 2 and test it out.

I hope this was a one-time fluke, as AutoGK isn't supposed to give you asynch audio. Unless there's something screwy going on with the DTS conversion. Good luck.

Ok, it worked.. Thanks im done.. it was exactly
    -1000ms. Thanks alot to everyone.

Also i tried re-doing it with AutoGK and it did it again, so i think some tweaking is needed in the autogk setup with the dts audio section. Maybe 2.09 will fix this.

Thanks again to everyone who helped.
    Especially manano.

    EDIT
Ok, after burning it with nero and trying to play it on my DVP-642 the picture is all blocky not choppy but blocks with distorted colours. Any idea how to fix this? Should i re-encode with Dr.Divx?

    Gspot 2.52 says this
    0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
    48000Hz 131 kb/s total (2 chnls)
    (VBR)

    xvid
    XviD
    And the BVOP/NVOP are highlighted.

  12. Hi again-

The Philips DVP-642 uses an ESS chipset, which is very particular about the XviD Custom Matrices it will play well. By default AutoGK uses Custom Matrices (HVS Better and HVS Best, I think) that the DVD-642 doesn't play well. Since the early days of AutoGK, people with players using the ESS chipsets have had an option when installing AutoGK to use the ESS Option which will then force AutoGK to use either the H.263 or MPEG Matrices. So, the solution for you is to reinstall AutoGK with that Option (and redo your encode-sorry). I may have gotten that "ESS Option" name slightly wrong, but you'll know it when you see it.

  13. After writing the above, I came across evidence that the ESS Option is broken in the latest builds. Maybe you have an older version you can revert to if you have already tried installing with the ESS Support turned on:

  16. Good, glad it worked out. If I'm understanding you correctly, you got it done with Dr. Divx. I'd recommend keeping an eye open for a new AutoGK release that fixes the ESS Support as, in my opinion, it's far superior to Dr. Divx.
