Top are links to examples of my menus.

My problem is that, I can't seem to add music files into the menu properly
The ac3 file always gets cut off at the beginning and replays Help!

edit: forgot to mention, i'm using DVD-lab pro.

The delay at the beginning is your decoder syncing to the signal. The length of time this takes varies from decoder to decoder. You can hide it by fading your audio in to beat the gap.

There is little point downloading your video, however a couple of screenshots of the project might help. Specifically the menu screens.

If you don't want it to repeat, make sure that it runs the same length as the video on the menu, and that you set the duration to the same length as the video. Duration is found on the PBC tab. By default this is set to 'inf', so it repeats indefinately.

If you use Vegas and DVD Architect, you can fix this....even though it's going to take sometime. Drop your video file in Vegas. Open the audio - make sure both files have the same size. Encode the audio file as AC-3 with Vegas (it has a built-in Dolby Certified AC-3 plug-in). Open both files with DVD Architect (same name for both). This application has a timeline too, so if the encoded video file is a little bigger or smaller than the final AC-3, you can set fade points so the video file will match AC-3 file perfectly.Note: Vegas and DVD Architect are not freeware but you can download both trial versions.
    Cheers!

The issue isn't the package, it's the preparation of assets. Vegas and DVDA won't do it any differently unless he changes the assets or his expectation.

    He? Who?
Now, please, how are you preparing those files (assets)? I mean, did you render them first with a NLE - non linear editor (example: AC-3 and MPEG2), or you're just preparing them with DVD Lab (organizing menus, audio files, text, etc)? Is that what you mean for preparing your files?

  6. The clips are about 10s each and the ac3 is over a minute, if i want to add audio to the menu, i have to cut the audio to the length of the video?

The audio is ac3 and the short clips are taken out of mpv files, both imported into dvd-lab. I dont' want to spend anymore money on this, so is there no other way other than cutting the length of the audio? There wouldn't be much of a song if its only 10s long.

    Thanks.

Make your audio and video assets the same length. If that means making your video assets longer, even by adding a still to make the balance, then that is what you have to do. That is how it is. You can't change the fact, so live with it and move on.

    - for the original files? Yes....

-Hmmmm, I've tried this and the outcome was not acceptable.

Anyway, why don;t you recompress everything once again and then tell us what happens...
