  1. Hello,

I just purchased an ati tv wonder tuner.

I thought that the guide+ listings were downloaded automatically
through the analog cable coax, no internet connection required.

Is this true? Will the guide+ listings appear on the guideplus app
automatically or do I need to connect to the internet?

My guide+ television gets its programming schedules via this manner. I do not have digital cable but the local cable privder pushes out guideplus over the analog lines. My guide+ listings on my VCR have been updated since the mid 90's so I know it works on guide plus TVs and VCRs over analog...

However, the only option I see in the ati software is to download the
    listings from the net.

I am hoping the ati card will automatically pull the listings nightly over analog cable like my TV and VCR

    Thanks.

  2. I own the ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 which includes the GUIDE+ software.

You do need to download the schedule updates on the internet - they are NOT downloaded automatically through the coaxial line. The GUIDE+ software does work together with TV and PVR functions, however the coaxial simply provides the analog signal for viewing, nothing guide related.

Unless I'm missing something, this is the only way to do it.

ApolloCreed21 is correct. All Guide updates must be downloaded over the internet.
