    What really attracted me to SVCD2DVD was it's menus (ie you could capture a bmp from the movie and use it for a menu & you could use an audio track in the menu).
    I have registered RC8, however, I have found a problem with it's menus.
    If I burn a DVD created by SVCD2DVD without any menu, then the DVD plays OK on my DSE G 1607 player, and on the computer using POWERDVD software.
    If I burn a DVD created by SVCD2DVD with a menu, then either the DVD doesn't detect on my DSE G 1607 player or, if it does detect, it plays the menu with about 10 seconds of it's audio and will not go any further (ie it will not play any of the main movie), but on the computer using POWERDVD software, there is no problem and the whole DVD plays OK.
    Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
    Thanks,
    Gerald

    Does your DSE G 1607 play both NTSC and PAL DVDs? Have you tried the different menu audio encoding options? Silence AC3, Silence MPA, Custom AC3 & Custom MPA?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    At last, I've tried all the options and found the solution, but it's a solution, I do not like.
    If I record any DVD with a menu with audio, the DVD can not be played, if I dont include any audio, it plays OK.

    If I include audio, then then format of the audio does not matter.

    This is an annoying restriction, but not terrible,especially as everything works on the computer, it's just the standalone player that can not have menus with audio.
