I've imported some DV footage (720*480) into Vegas Video and will be editing it and exporting as DVD-compliant MPEG2. My question is, how/when/where do I control whether the video will be widescreen, letterboxed, and how would I go about changing it to full-screen if I wanted to? Thanks for the help.

it's already got an aspect ratio -- 720X480 (basically full-screen, but not exactly 4:3. 720X540 would be "true" 4:3)
if you change it, you will either squish or stretch everybody/thing in the video
keep it at "full-screen" and it should be fine
