  1. Just got the DXG305V 5 in 1 cam.
I'm asking about encoding TV or movies to playback on this small video camera. There's limited infor in the manual and on their web site.
The video format is Mpeg4 320x240x24bit or 640x480x24bit.
The audio format is 16 bit, 8hz mono PCM.
The camera records as an .asf file.

Gspot says it is 4cc ??? DivX comes up as 4cc also. Not much else.

I've tried DivX 5.2 through Vegas 5 and WMV 8 and 9 (renaming to asf)
    None of these work!

Cool toy for $99. Plays mp3s, records wav audio, Takes pix with flash, and records Video at 320x240-30fps or 640x480-15fps. all on a SD card (extra) or on the internal 16mb, and it's small.

I know it's cheap but it has possibilities as you can run RCA lines out to a TV or VCR.

Thanks for any input on what to try.

ffmpeg should be able to output MPEG4 to an ASF.
