  1. I'm especially interested in one that has a very nice high-rez looking LCD panel screen.

Video/display quality would be my number one priorities - followed by easy/smooth functionality (ie. variable speed slow motion, etc). Money and value would be less of an issue if I knew I was getting the best.

Please, let me hear your thoughts and opinions.

"The Best". Will that make you feel the best? The best choice will be about how you feel about your purchase. Go hunting one weekend and then do a google search. No one can inform you like yourself. Then go out shopping again and find the "Best" one for you. Check on-line prices if you want "The Best" Price. Also look at the Consumers Guide to Electronics for another point of view. I have 2 models, 7 inch and 10 inch. Brand is useless because many are built by the same company. In the end it will be your "Choice" and you will have to live with your purchase!

  4. Ok, I hear your points, fellas...and I'm not ruling out a laptop. But in regards to "the best" -- okay, which portable DVD player generally has the best and sharpest looking LCD screen - if your just looking at that single quality alone?

I mean does a certain brand cater to those who want such a screen or are all screens pretty much the same? Can you give any recommendations based on that at all?
