  1. Hi guys i tried searching the forums for other topics like this but i just get results for audio synching problems so bear with me

I've been using goldwave to extract the audio from .RMVB files and using TMPG to convert them, its been working fine for a couple of days then a few days ago i was trying to extract the audio from an rmvb file again except this time goldwave just tells me
"Could not open file. File does not exist or format is not supported."
so i click on Open and tell it to open all files not just supported ones same error...

I try opening a rmvb file that I've already succesfully converted using the same process and it won't open like normally this time it asks me what the file format is, its never done that before it used to just open the file up no questions.

So i've tried uninstalling goldwave and removing all my audio codecs and do a fresh install of everything audio related and i get the same errors..

what the hell happened in the course of 1 night that changed everything
    damn real files

    plz help...
