  1. I have a question, before I stuble into a long conversion process.

Does this work for an AVI with a huge framerate ?:

    - extract audio using Vdub
    - reduce AVI framerate to 29.97 fps
    - convert to mpeg in TMPenc using the new AVI and wav file

I guess it should work but I am a bit afraid it might result in audio being out of sync..

  2. It doesnt matter what the fps is. Trust me.
It doesnt matter if its 10 or 50.
Just import the avi into tmpgnec and tell it to encode at 29.97.

If for some reason it says cannot open or unsupported,
go to options, environmental settings, VFAPI plugin, the move the directshow multimedia filter to priority to +5.
That should ALWAYS be the highest thing there. Everything else should not be over +1

Everyday is another payday and I am one step closer to becoming the one.
