For my work I'm needing to take content from a few DVD's each DVD is a compilation of music videos, including these "slate" pages with song info and such.
I'm needing to edit out the slate pages and put in a graphic and such.
When I've attempted this before I used handbrake to encode to quicktime.
I'd then move this to iMovie and cut out the unwanted parts then I'd use toast to burn the final "mix" back to DVD.
***I ended up with some crappy distorted video content and less that perfect audio.
Any suggestions on the best way to do this?
Thanks
JW

I have used cinemtize in the past to rip out chapters of dvd's
You can also select where in the chapter to start/stop ripping.
You can rip to quicktime or you can rip the streams m2v/aiff and then import them into dvd studio pro. Or rip to mpg and import into idvd or toast (just read the rest of your post)
It may be toast that is screwing with the video?
Let us know how you got on.
