jerky playback after dv capture.

I have a motion stabilizer feature on my dv cam, it works quite well. When I capture it ,it loses this feature and becomes motion riden. I notice the difference on same size playback screens. ???????

Geez Gee... I thought the stabilization of video became part of the video. Matter of fact my cam clearly states that use of the stabilizer will reduce the quality of the image. Guess it's kinda like a zoom that automatically pans around the extra resolution you lose....

I remeber seeing a post about a filter in Virtual Dub or Avisynth for that.
