  1. I ripped a dvd using dvd decrypter in IFO mode "movie only" and have a ifo and four vob files. What do I have to do to burn these on a dvdr so I can just put it into a dvd home player and watch the movie.

    Thanks

rip the disc in iso/read mode, then burn the iso you just ripped in iso/write mode.

    its very easy

buuuut, if the movie is larger than a dvd5, then you'll need to re-encode or transcode.. look over there to your left, plenty of guides. :P

  3. The problem was that dvd decrypter only gave me the ifo and vob files but not the bup files. I used dvd shrink instead and that worked better.

No .....the problem was you didn't have any idea how to use the program you were operating

Next time you open DECRYPTER, choose file mode
    Then select ALL

now DECRYPTER will work for you

your comment "decrypter only gave me the ifo and vob files but not the bup files"
shows your ignorance of what your doing..
What decrppter did was selct the movie only.. and skipped VOB's IFO's and BUPS

BUP files are backups of the ifo's... nothing more

  5. Hey dcsos your the ignorant ******* here.
I just wanted to rip the movie only not all that other stuff that was on the DVD.
I followed the guide that you guys write on this site, but I see you guys couldn't explain yourself out of a paper bag.
Next time mind your effen business.

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

MUST BITE TONGUE. If you don't like the guides/members then find another site, easy.

@peter p- there is a "cost" to anything, even "free" advice. The "cost" here is time and the need to learn something new. Maybe the cost is too high for you...... 8)

  9. The guide says to rip in ifo, iso or file. I justed wanted the movie and not everything else on the dvd. The guide says rip in ifo if you want just the movie and burn with nero which I did. All I got was the ifo file and 4 vobs burned on a dvd which would not automatically play on a dvd player.
I'm not the one to ask for help unless I really need it.
Anyway I figured it out on my own before any of you answered. Look at my 2nd post and you'll see that I used dvd shrink which worked out better.

You are not worth replying to, but I will anyway..because when I opened my email it said others had replied to my post...so I came back to help you again, and there you are spitting in my face....

PeterP I tried to help you..but you figured it out before we even
    answered

so have a good life MR SELF STARTER

you probably still have no clue what you're doing
as witeness by the comment showing your lack of understanding yet again

Its not a problem as you seem to not really need us to get the results you desire!

but I would caution you not to say "DVD SHRINK" did what I wanted
because you would need to use DVD SHRINK in REAUTHOR mode to do what you wanted. Otherwise, you've just shrunken the whole DVD EXTRAS and all, and you haven't "just gotten the movie"
