This is a peculiar problem. I have a downloaded DivX version of "Leon:The Professional" which I am trying to convert to DVD using TMPGEnc and dual pass VBR encoding. The main movie is split between two files which we will call CD1 and CD2. CD1 encodes without problems. CD2 always crashes on the second pass. I can still encode CD2 in one pass with CBR but not two passes with VBR. Does anyone have a clue as to why CD2 should always crash on the second pass but never on the first? I assume the crash happens at the very start of the second pass as the resulting MPEG file contains zero bytes. If this is any help there is a slight gap in the action where the original movie has been split into two files. If I rejoin the files using VirtualDub the encode crashes at the exact same point where the second file would have begun. I am guessing they were originally one long DivX file which was split into two rather than being encoded separately. Any help is appreciated.

It might pay to read the Forum Rules, in particular the section regarding warez.
    If in doubt, Google it.
