  2. First, make sure you are able to hear the audio when playing the orginal file before you transcode the video in M.C. Its sounds as if you have an audio decode problem and maybe not have the proper audio codec installed for M.C to decode it.

    Hope this helps.

  4. I'm guessing you'll need the AC3 codec if your source is an avi from the net.

Download and install the AC3 codec - https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=AC3_Filter

If that does not help, download and install the Gordon Codec pack - http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software2.htm

Please make sure you are able to play the file before transcoding anything.

    Hope this helps.

If I can suggest something...Please download and install Sony Vegas, the trial version. Drop your AVi in the timeline. If Vegas opens both audio and video, then you haven't got an AC-3 file since Vegas cannot open AC-3 files.

  8. I know what the problem is. It has VBR MP3. I want to know how to extract it to wav using virtualdub. I cant seem to find a tutorial. Thanks

  9. Use VirtualDubMod. Open the file. Goto Streams>Streams List. Select the Stream and click wav.

But, IMO a better way would be to Demux the MP3 audio first and then use BeSweet to convert to WAV.
