Can anyone help me with this problem in Avisplit Classic? I'm trying to split a one-hour AVI into 3 small parts. For some reason, I cannot change the "Split Into" field. It always stays at one no matter what I type in. When I click start, it says it can't start because the minimum pieces to split to is 2 but I cannot edit that field. My AVI file is a recompressed version of an AVI using the Indeo codec. It has no keyframes I found out so that's why AviSplit is doing that. But it shouldn't rely on keyframes.

If you can recommend me a better (and fast and free) AVI splitter, that would be good too.
I'm splitting it up so that it would load easier in Vegas 4. When previewing the one hour AVI, it lags and then freezes. So hopefully splitting it into 3 parts is enough to make it play normally.
Edit:
I tried the clipper but the resulted file can't even play.![]()
