  1. https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/166237.php is the guide im trying to use, but instead of 25 to 23, im trying 25 to 29.97fps

1)My question is, once i demultiplex the file and encode in tmpgenc the m2v (video part) of the file... what do i do next? I tried the besweet thing and tmpgenc just said "illegal mpeg audiostream" when i tried to multiplex it togheter. I'm not sure what to do anymore.

2)Another thing is, that guide said to frameserve or whatever, and use dvd2avi. So i save the d2v file and try to load it up on the tmpgenc wizard for ntsc svcd and it deosnt work, says the file isn't supported. (basically, the window that says judging field order doesn't show up)

UPDATE: I think it has to be something im doing wrong in besweet. For some reason i can't convert my audio from pal to ntsc properly cause tmpgenc said it's an illegal audiostream and bbmpeg doesn't even multiplex the audio when i tried it. Any suggestions from people who did this before?

  2. Best thing to do is just get a DVD player that changes PAL to NTSC. JVC Pioneer APEX.

Sony will only change PAL to NTSC for VCDs.

    Yeah.
Stop doing it that way and read through the post Abond & i said to check out.
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=261056

I have done alot of conversions with that method, and you don't have to mess with the audio or besweet, just demux it & the video, redo the video, and put them back together

I did it only using TMPGEnc, DGIndex, DGPulldown, in the thread FulciLives started he also used AviSynth, i did'nt because i just set everything i needed to change in TMPGEnc myself.
Then i just put the audio and video together in TDA when i was authoring it.

Is where i have a little info on how i did it.

I dont see anything wrong with what i did, i ran through it over and over. The resulting .mp2 taht besweet gives me says "illegal MPEG audiostream" in tmpgenc when i try to multiplex it with the movie. Any ideas why or what im doing wrong?

  8. if thats a bad thing, dont feel bad, im trying your method out right now. It'll take me about 4 hours total to encode and im doin that now so i have faith in it obviously. I just like having backup plans

  9. Hi-

    Source Sample-Rate: 44.1KHz

This is for DVD? The sample rate has to be 48KHz.

    Source Frame-Rate: 25000
    Dest. Frame-Rate: 29970

    You'll be sorry.

  10. ok noah, i converted to the resolution 720x480 (the video) like u said in the thread u mentioned... and did the pull down on those three files. They are all part of one big movie though, could i multiplex them together in tmpgenc plus and then merge them all into one mpeg? And if i do that... do i have to run the pulldown program again or just import it to TDA like that?

Okay, do you have the audio and video as seperate files ?
And when you converted them to 720X480 you kept the frame rate at 25fps ?
Then you used DGPulldown to change the framerate, correct ?
Just wanna make sure what you have.
If this is the case you could actually import the video and audio in TDA as seperate files on the same track.

  12. What i did was,
    1. Convert them to 720x480 like you said and kept it at 25fps
    2. Used DGPulldown on each video file to change framerate to 29.97fps
    3. Multiplexed each file with tmpgenc leaving me with the three pieces of the movie
    4. Merged the three pieces into one file.
    5. Put that file in TDA and viola... beautiful movie working

It works on my sony ns425p and noah.... your a genious man!

    COOL!!!
    Glad you got it sorted
FulciLives actually started the thread here from somewhere else, he and a few others worked on it and that's what started me working on it and it is basically the same but i just do some things manually eliminating one of the programs.

I'm gonna have to write a tut with screen shots of how i do it, i said i was going to acouple of times but i have been so busy the last couple of week's, that and then one of my power supply's blew out last week taking my MB and a piece of ram with it, so my main pc was down acouple of days while i got parts

But i will get to it :P

  14. Bah, now as i watch the movie, the audio desyncs right when the second file starts playing (it's just one big file on the dvd, but remember i merged three parts together to make it one big file). Im not sure why it desyncs but it's very annoying.

Okay, this is why i was asking the questions i asked earlier.

What is the source ? a SVCD ??
How did you get it in 3 parts ?
And when you converted to 720X480 and kept it at 25fps did you use the wizard in TMPGEnc or did you close it out and use the manual settings ?

And i never remultiplexed the video and audio in TMPGEnc, i did it in the authoring program.

  16. I got it in 3 iso's, which i extracted using isobuster. Then i encoded in tmpgenc using custom settings (the unlock template u mentioned in the other thread). Encoded the three video parts to 720x480 under 25fps. Then i did the dgpulldown to change to 29.97 for each video file. Then i multiplexed the audio and video for each part. I played them on my computer at this point and each part was synched correctly. Problem is, when i tried to merge and cut using tmpgenc.... the file desynches right when the first part ends/second part begins and that messes up the movie from that point on. It has to be something with the merging of the parts which i just tested.

  17. Ok here's what i did to get it to work PERFECTLY, after i encoded the files to 720x480 and left the fps at 25, i used tmpgenc and used merge and cut.... but this time, i merged all the video files together first, and then all the audio files togehter. Then, i just have 2 files... the video and the audio. Open TDA and select the video for video, and audio for audio. Viola, perfect conversion of a PAL svcd 3 disc to a "NTSC" 1 dvd movie.
