  1. What does that mean? Is it a bad file or is it something not right on my system? It happens everytime I try to view this movie.

  4. You most likely need a specific version of the divX codec.. a cumbersome side effect of hacked sofwtare

Get the latest divX (v4.11) and the kristal studios codec pack, that should solve most of your problems..

  5. Ok, I have also tried those. But they didn't work for me either. I really do appreciate all you guys helping me, because I am clueless. My question is though, could it be the movie itself? How or is there any way to check that? But hey, you know what, I also discovered that as of right now, if I do a search on my avi files in my system, and then click on them to view them, they also do not play any video, just audio. So what could be causing that? I followed the directions in installing the DivX codec to a "T" and it still didn't work for me. Is there anything else to try? I am about ready to chuck this machine out the window and let it float southbound down the creek!! So once again, any help will be deeply appreciated!! : )

  6. Remove any nimo codecs you have installed thru add\remove programs in control panel
Next, go here- http://members.tripod.com/dvdown then click on conversion tools on left. Then click on divx\avi tools then go to codecs and filters.
Then click on divx for windows 4.x
    Download that and install it
Next, in the codecs page also, download the smr codec too
