DVD wshop << & >> menu buttons

My DVD has 8 video clips (or Titles), each one being a Chapter. The 'Chapter Count' shows 1 for each title. But when I preview in the FINISH section, the << and >> buttons are greyed out. I burned the disc and my DVD player << and >> buttons won;t work, but strangely when playing the disc on my PC they do. What's up here ? I'm still using WSv1. Thanks.

There are updates available for DVDWS, if you haven't installed them I would do that first.


But I think it's a bug.... How it becomes a problem I don't know. I use DVD WS and have never had this problem myself but this about the 2nd or 3 rd post I've seen stating the same thing within a couple months.

Must be something with the menu structure. Do you have all the chapter links on a single menu, what happens if you use the remote to fast forward to the next chapter? How about a different DVD player?

All chapter links are on one menu. The only buttons showing on the remote are PLAY and STOP.

You'll get that sometimes if the chapter links are too close together on the menu, that is a bug in DVDWS 1.

Do you know if it's fixed in WS 2 ?
What does 'too close together mean'? The spacing between the titles/buttons or the chapter lengths ?
