I like the media on sale threads

Is it just me or does it seem like threads about media being on sale are less common than they were?

I want some more fuji 8x made in Japan 50/$20 like they were all over when I had 50-100 sitting on my shelf.

i was just wondering about deals myself. just got my DL burner yesterday.

i know that www.edealinfo.com lists deals all the time on regular DVD media... so it's a good source anytime for those.

however, i don't think i've ever seen a DL listing on there and considering the price of DL media right now, it would be great to be updated when there's a deal going on someplace.

if anyone knows of any deals or rebates at the moment... let us know!

BestBuy and Office Depot seem to have the best deals for B&M stores,check Sundays paper.
For online stores I like www.rima.com or www.supermediastore.com

They used to have alot of the 8x fujifilm 50 pc spindles for $25 at frys electronics, but lately they have a very limited amount of them. Instead i just get my taiyos from rima.com

Fry's in Downer's Grove, IL has Made in Japan Fuji 50 pcs 8X +R for $19.99 and best buy has TDK 25 pcs 8x +R and -R for $9.99(from my experience they're probably taiwanese)

This forum along with "hot deals" on cdrlabs.com and "bargain basement" on cdfreaks.com are a good resource in locating chain sales of dvd blank media.

If you're near Best Buy, check them every other Sunday or so and you'll usually find what you're looking for. Check the labels though for made in Japan vs Taiwan. They'll be side-by-side in almost identical wrappers. If you don't get a Sunday paper maybe check their web site

For good price on Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer I found www.YESMICRO.com and CompuUsa.com for $18.00 a 3 pack. Anyone found better for these?

Sunday Best Buy newspaper ad in Houston (probably nationwide, mostly) has Fujifilm 8x DVD+-R, 50 pack for 19.99 and 100 pack for 39.99 (after in-store rebates) Can't tell by number in advertisement whether they're Taiwan or Japan. Usually they're both mixed together on the shelf.

No experience with the Taiwan manufacturer but the Japans are Taiyo Yuden.

Best Buy here in town rarely carries any brand of DVD-R/+R made in Japan. Never buy my DVDs there. Usually get them at Staples now.

Love the Fuji's, I have DVD+RW's and since they come with a lifetime warranty you could send them back and get them replaced for free if they have a scratch. They will even send you a label with postage to your home.
