Will HC open a WMV file so I can convert it to m2v?

The file I want to convert is a windows media file (WMV1 video and WMAudioV2 audio file)

What do I need to put in the script?


Does HC use WMV files via Avisynth or am I out of luck?

HC should be able to open any AVISynth script. It shouldn't care what is in the script, well other than maybe the colourspace and if there are any errors.

Cheers Celtic, I thought that was the case hence my confusion today after my success with a few files the other day

For some reason I can open the file into HC from one directory path but not from another?

To explain; Here is the script that wouldnt open, it is for a wmv file but with a path that doesnt seem to open in HC?

this wont open:

HERE IS THE SAME FILM THAT AS AN EXPERIMENT I MOVED TO ANOTHER DRIVE (D) DIRECTORY/PATH WHICH STRANGELEY DOES NOW ALLOW ME TO OPEN IN HC
