  4. Need alittle more info than that. Try playing them on a standalone player and not a recorder.

  6. I changed the booktype to DVD-ROM on my NEC 3500A and burn DVD+R on my computer and they play just fine on all of my equipment except one that is over 6 years old which shows some stutter on some TDK Taiwon media. I mostly use Fuji Ty Media which plays just fine on all my equipment even the cheap player I bought my kids.

  9. What type of programs are you using to create your dvds? Try using dvd decrypter and dvdshrink.
Also try and see if there is an update for recordnow. I had a problem once when I had to use 2 different recording programs for different dvd players. Then I checked for updates and I updated the PX engine and it did the job for me. Now I use only Record Now for the players. Still have to use nero for PS2. Give it a shot

You should check on compatibility of your home theatre player.

  10. I use Nero Ultra 6 to burn and have not problems. There are a number of settings that you have comtrol over and if not correct, you can have a disc that is not compatible with stand alone players.
If you have the option of burning to DVD-video, then this is what I would recommend. If you are using UDF, is there a box to check that says "Force video mode"? If so, then check it. Make sure you are not burning an ISO image to the disc and trying to play this on your stand alone player. Finally double check the stand alone for compatibility. Some older (1st generation) DVD players would not play DVD-R media at all.

  11. Here is my story: I was one of the first on my block to buy a DVD player - Toshiba 8006 for $759.00. I burned a lot of DVD'S and they did not work. I tried every program and they would not play on my DVD player. Last year I bought a Sony DVD player for 100.00 that plays mp3's etc... It plays all the DVD's that I burned years ago.('')
