Optical input Dav-s300 US vs UK model

Hello I was wondering if anyone has fiqured out how to enable optical in on a UK model..? it dosent appear to have an input yet sony have it listed as a feature on their site..? I would be most interested if anyone has info or a picture of the input on the pcb inside their unit that the can post or send..I would be willing to have a go at trying it out on my unit. Is there also a setting in the menu or anything else that is required to enable the input..any help appreciated

Surely you have, with the UK model, a UK manual with diagrams showing how to get optical output (if such is provided) and how to change the settings using the remote???

Belive me theres absolutely no mention of digital input on either the unit or in the manual...? I think it was intentionally omited from the uk release...? Correct me if I`m wrong...This is why I believe that it may require a hardware mod to enable it...regards Martin

I have just read a review for the player at amazon.co.uk - the last review says there are no digital inputs..
As for a hardware mod: I have looked for it on the net- but can't find - sorry..
