This is a movie that is separated into 2 bin/cue discs. I used gnu vcdtoolsX to extract the mpegs as I have before. When I extracted them I checked the info and they show up in the info window as mpeg2 files. I then joined the two mpegs together using the join tool in ffmpegx. Then I tried running the joined mpeg in ffmpegx and use the dvd ffmpeg preset, change the aspect ratio and region to NTSC and when I hit encode I immediately get a ding and this error

Encoding started on Sat Apr 2 02:35:09 CST 2005
    Input #0, mpeg, from '/Users/steyener/Desktop/MyCousinHasMarried.mpg':
    Duration: 01:55:47.3, start: 0.892244, bitrate: 1884 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Audio: mp2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 224 kb/s
    Stream #0.1: Video: mpeg2video, 480x576, 25.00 fps
Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0

What is going on and what do I need to fix?

I can encode each one individually but can't when I try and join the two files together. I would really like to know how to encode this movie so I can get it onto one dvd.

  3. Enable "invert mapping" in the audio tab.

Major....you rock dude. Your app is killer and you are pretty much the movie encoding god of the macintosh. I'll send you some money probably next week to register the app.

  5. What please, is an easy way to convert .cue files into something else that ffmpegX can use? Couldn't find the above program and would like something simple with a nice gui. Honest, I'm not stupid (completely) but would just like a little simplicity in my life. Thanx.

Don't take the .cue, it's all in the .bin

  7. Okay, the .bin then.

Google shows a lot of dead links for vcdtoolsX, but I found 3 valid v1.1 downloads in the first two pages.

  9. Okay,
Used vcdtoolsX to get out the mpeg files. Now here's what happened. I now had 3 files. Joined the first two no prob. Then tried to join the joined file to the third and it went immediately to Finished, Ding! ... and no file was made. What have I done wrong? Thanks.

  10. once the mpegs are extracted from the .Bin files, put them in a separate folder. go to "TOOLS", in the first "browse" button on right hand side, select your new folder with the extracted mpegs, now hit the button "S/VCD>DVD" and thats it, works like a charm, will create a video_TS folder.

  11. Well, that didn't work. It made the first .mpg file into a .vob but the other two got ignored.

    Any ideas?

  12. dont hit "Encode"
    just press S/VCD>DVD button
works everytime! make sure nothing is selected on left hand side
only "Keep elementary streams" selected, nothing else checked.

  13. That's exactly what I did. Files sitting on the desktop, all small letters and numbers as to not upset any unix particulars. Just tried it again and same thing, only first one gets included. Thanks anyway.
