dvdrb/cce sp question

ive been having problems with CCE basic not really problems its the trial version so... i had everything ticked in the setup of dvdrb, CCE basic, the path to CCE basic etc.... but when it would get to the encoding part id get some ecl file blah blah CCE Basic trial version error

so i uninstalled basic and installed cce sp 2.70 trial and get the same errors...

could i just do this....
in dvd rebuilder id prepare the DVD, stop before it encodes (it doesnt work) and just add all the AviSynth files in CCE SP, encode them, if i opened dvdrebuilder after there encoded will the Rebuild button be enabled?
all the prepare and encoded files end up in the same folder...so im thinking this would work
i dont want to waste maybe xx hrs encoding a dvd to find out the Rebuild button is still grayed, i dont know any other way to convert m2v? files to vobs and whatnot.
tho this is a waste of time because of that damned CCE watermark or so ive heard it leaves a watermark
still i want to see the quality

are you using eclcce ? this is required because the trial version of cce does not load ecl files. Eclcce takes an ecl file and applys the configuration to cce using keystrokes. I believe that the 2.70 release changes the order of things and doesn't work with eclcce.

Search for and download eclcce. Install it to your cce directory and run it. Point it at the cce executable. In DVD rebuilder, where you were pointing to cce, now point to eclcce. Things should now work as expected.

If you are concernded about the watermark, there are alternative renders that DBDRB will work with, including the new HC encoder, which is getting a good wrap. These don't have watermarks. Or, you could pay for the basic version of CCE and use it instead.
