Menu problems with TMPGenc DVD Author

I've just started using TMPGenc DVD Author 1.6 for simple DVD menus and trimming video clips. I've got about 8 clips that I've trimmed and selected chapters. I've taken a menu template and changed only the background and some fonts. There are 40 chapters that are spread over about 7 pages.

I output the project and get a problem. When I try to jump from one page to the next the menu jumps from page 1 directly to 7. I can't get to pages 2-6.

I can skip though all the chapters without a problem. I've tried different templates and different DVD players. I also get the problem when playing the DVD on my computer. This is the first time I've used this program so I hope I'm just doing something wrong.

Has anyone had a similiar problem with this program?

Choose ' New Themes' and select your options.
40 chapter? Maybe you authored all 8 clips under one titleset instead one for each own?

OK, I'll try redoing with a theme from scratch. I'm not sure what you mean by titleset. I've got all the clips on one track if that's what you mean. I'll try putting them on different tracks to see if that helps.

DougZP - a few comments:

1) You might already know this, but in the TDA menus there is typically 1 button to move ahead 1 page and 1 button to take you to the last page - make sure you are selecting the corret button...

2) In 1 of my DVD players, a Cyberhome 320, I can NOT navigate around the menu system at all - the highlight colors never become active. I can still "blindly" navigate OK if I keep track in my mind where I am - the menus respond when I hit enter I just don't know which link I'm on (I posted an issue here but no one else reported seeing it). The DVD still plays OK, but in a DVD with many many chapters (like yours), this is a problem. Perhaps this is an issue with my Cyberhome though being overly sensitve about it (I currently have an open issue with them).

Well, you are right Apollo. I've been using Ulead MF3 for a long time and the buttons are setup differently in it. In UMF3 the play button starts playback. In TDA the play button jumps you to the next set of chapters. Thank you very much for your time.
