Question about the model numbers on the PVR-250

I'm wanting to get a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250, but I'm a bit confused about the model numbers. Amazon has two versions of the PVR-250. One is the PVR-250 model number 980, and one is model number 975. (Is one an MCE version, and one is not?) And they seem to have different looking boxes, too.

Can anyone tell me the differences between the model number 980 and the 975?

I'd appreciate it....

975 is MCE only. 980 is not.

I don't have MCE, so I guess that means I have to get the 980. Just curious, what would happen if I did get the MCE 975? Would it still work on my system?

Nope. The 980 will work in anything from Win98 up. The 975 ONLY works in MCE and generates a proprietary microsoft bullshit crappy stupid mpeg that nothing but MCE can play.
